Talent Management Everywhere
Posted by Arshad Merali on October 12th, 2007 | filed in Talent Management, Workforce Management
I just got back from the HR Technology Conference in Chicago and was blown away with all the companies that were pitching Talent Management solutions.
It seems like everybody and their mother is a Talent Management software company… and most of them appeared to be SaaS which I think is great.
The usual suspects were also there, like Authoria, Talent Technology (Resume Mirror and Hire Desk) SAP, Unitime, Lawson, Vurv, Oracle, Red Prairie, Workday, Workbrain(now Infor) and Timelink.
The boys from Indeed were also there… I think they have a great website and a pretty interesting business model. If you’re looking for a new job (or maybe just keeping your eyes open) or looking to hire some talent, you owe it to yourself to check them out.
Noticeably absent were our friends from Kronos which was surprising since they became one of the leaders in Talent Management with their acquisition of Unicru (a former Workbrain partner by the way) last year. Rumour has it that they also just acquired Deploy Solutions, another player in the Talent Management space. Of course, this is just rumour at this point… but time will tell.
I think it’ll be interesting to see how things shake out as there seems to be lots of opportunity for consolidation in this somewhat ‘young’ and growing space.
